éclat Law’s Foundation for Community Action and UCF are working together to provide a $5,000 Art Prize (Scholarship) to one current SVAD Studio Art graduate students in acknowledgment of their impressive past achievements and in anticipation of their future successes at UCF and beyond. The Prize will enrich educational endeavors and lessen the financial stress of paying for these endeavors.

Currently, there is a need for additional financial support for School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) graduate students in the 3-year Studio Art program at UCF. Even with the help of graduate student stipends and tuition waivers paid for by the University and SVAD, less than half of SVAD’s graduate students receive these benefits. The Éclat Art Prize will fill a huge need in support our graduate students in SVAD by providing an opportunity to highlight their work, but also creating access to a funding opportunity to help with their tuition expenses, art supplies and materials, housing, and other needs. Additionally, the Prize will enable UCF to attract and retain the state and nation’s brightest students. When the brightest students are taught by brilliant faculty, this strengthens the university’s academic reputation and academic environment for fellow students and alumni.
The recipient of the Prize will be recognized during the Spring MFA UCF Gallery exhibition. In addition, éclat Law will give the recipient an opportunity to exhibit their work in the ART@éclat Gallery located in éclat Law’s Altamonte Springs office for a period.
