Foundation For Community

EMPOWERING THE SUCCESS OF OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS

éclat Law is proud to announce the relaunch of our Foundation for Community Action, Inc.

Motivated by our mission to empower the success of our community through partnerships, éclat Law’s Foundation was first founded in late 2019. Empowered by a desire to help others, this Foundation was designed to foster a positive impact, serve others, create opportunities, and support community organizations.

We Support Veterans

We are blessed to have individuals who make personal sacrifices to serve the citizens of our great nation and who put their lives on the line to protect and defend our liberties, rights and way of life that we all enjoy. Our veterans are our heroes, and we believe that our heroes deserve the same dedication and support they so graciously have given to the citizens of this Country.

éclat law is committed to not only honoring our heroes, we are dedicated to facilitating and fostering relationships between our veteran and the programs and resources they need and surely deserve.  We consider ourselves a resource for our veterans, connecting them to our community, providing them with legal services and support, and setting our heroes up for success.  Our doors are always open to provide whatever assistance we can for our heroes.

WE SUPPORT ARTS & CULTURE

George Bernard Shaw’s view of art sums up the éclat law view of art and its impact on our lives – “without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable.”  We are a firm believer that artistic expressions enhance our lives, brings us joy, inspiration and provokes thought and creativity.  Life would truly be barren if those so inspired did not express and share such inspirations, visions and beauty that sometimes goes unnoticed in our day-to-day dealings.

éclat law Our firm is honored and inspired to support emerging Florida artists with our time, treasure, and talent. Between our ART@éclat gallery hosted in our law artistic inspired office in Cranes Roost by the lake, our newest partnership with the School of Visual Arts & Design at UCF, and our dedication to the Florida Sculptures Guild, we encourage creative expression and the growth of the art community in Central Florida.   We encourage everyone to visit our offices to enjoy the inspired pieces we display on a daily basis, in addition to attending our events where we showcase the work of our inspired artists and give the community the opportunity to meet the artists that inspire our gallery.

WE SUPPORT LOCAL NONPROFITS

Often taken for granted, the work of not for profit organizations is the backbone to supporting the needs of our citizens and our local communities; their services are invaluable and the individuals that work for these organizations amongst the most selfless giving souls around.   Our law firm takes great pride in supporting charitable organizations that support our community, both as a firm and the staff and lawyers who are the heart and soul of our law firm.

In addition to giving of our time and resources, we created the éclat law Foundation for Community Action to serve as an influencer, promoting local nonprofits organizations, and assisting them with their fundraising endeavors. We help extend the reach of the nonprofit community.

Ways We Give Back:

Veterans – We honor those that served our country.

  • Kevin Ross-Andino, our founder and managing partner, serves as the Chair for Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida.
  • éclat Law is a trustee of the Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses (FAVOB).

Arts & Culture – We highlight local art and culture.

  • Laura Cosgrove, of counsel, is involved in the Florida Sculptures Guild.
  • We recently secured a grant to create the reVision Exhibit.
  • Ms. Cosgrove is also the Advancement Chair for Friends of the Mennello Museum of American Art.
  • ART@éclat gallery hosts local artists’ artwork for purchase.
  •
  • “For every one dollar spent on arts and culture, there is a nine dollar return on investment directly going towards statewide economic stimulation (not just tax revenue),” stated Representative David Smith, as he continued to say “After a long two years of the Covid pandemic, Floridians deserve more access to arts and culture in our state. Because of the $64 million invested from the Florida legislature, Floridians will be empowered to connect with our creative arts, heritage, and history.”

éclat Law’s Foundation for Community Action and UCF are working together to provide a $5,000 Art Prize (Scholarship) to one current SVAD Studio Art graduate students in acknowledgment of their impressive past achievements and in anticipation of their future successes at UCF and beyond. The Prize will enrich educational endeavors and lessen the financial stress of paying for these endeavors.

Currently, there is a need for additional financial support for School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) graduate students in the 3-year Studio Art program at UCF. Even with the help of graduate student stipends and tuition waivers paid for by the University and SVAD, less than half of SVAD’s graduate students receive these benefits. The Éclat Art Prize will fill a huge need in support our graduate students in SVAD by providing an opportunity to highlight their work, but also creating access to a funding opportunity to help with their tuition expenses, art supplies and materials, housing, and other needs. Additionally, the Prize will enable UCF to attract and retain the state and nation’s brightest students. When the brightest students are taught by brilliant faculty, this strengthens the university’s academic reputation and academic environment for fellow students and alumni.

The recipient of the Prize will be recognized during the Spring MFA UCF Gallery exhibition. In addition, éclat Law will give the recipient an opportunity to exhibit their work in the ART@éclat Gallery located in éclat Law’s Altamonte Springs office for a period.

Community Organizations – We cultivate partnerships that foster the largest impact.

  • Non-profits
  • Organizations
