Larry Prange

Larry has spent his career advising corporations on business and legal matters both big and small. Graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s and Master of Science in Environmental Studies, Larry quickly became an industry leader in hazardous materials transportation compliance. After developing a hazardous materials compliance program for DaimlerChrysler Corporation and drafting hazardous materials transportation regulations adopted by both the U.S. Department of Transportation and the United Nations, Larry decided to pursue a law degree. Graduating with honors from George Washington University, Larry began his legal career in Washington, DC., where he interned at Barnes and Thornburg in International Trade. After graduation, Larry joined Thompson Hine as a Transportation Law attorney. Larry utilized his prior business experience to help clients manage legal risks and navigate complex regulatory matters impacting rail, truck and vessel transportation.
Larry spent more than a dozen years as senior legal counsel, first for Whirlpool Corporation and then Gordon Food Service. Larry advised internal business clients in several areas, including Real Estate and Construction, Environmental Remediation, OSHA Compliance, International Trade, Transportation, Food Safety, and Corporate Governance. During this time, Larry also served as an officer of the Whirlpool Foundation and the non-profit Harbor Shores Community Redevelopment LLC.
Larry works with the law firm’s civil trial group on matters involving:

- Transportation accidents (trucking, vessel, or aviation) resulting in personal injury, wrongful death, or other catastrophic injuries
