BIO
Xavier Moss (b. 1993) was raised in Okinawa, England, and Oviedo, Florida, where he currently resides. He received his Bachelors of Science, with an emphasis in biological illustration, from the University of Florida in 2015. Since then, Xavier has worked as a freelance illustrator and elementary teacher, refining his illustrative style and creating a body of work that unites his passions for flora, fauna, and faith.
Xavier works with a wide range of media including watercolor, acrylic, oil, pen, and ink. His work primarily focuses on the exploration of natural history within the context of Scripture. A love of pop culture phenomena that began in childhood with Star Wars, is a secondary focus. His work is heavily influenced by a vested interest in graphic novel storytelling, printmaking, dynamic sketching, creature design, Art Nouveau, and Impressionism.
